Newborn sessions are so precious and special. This tiny, incredible human being you have just created, and waited for what seems like an eternity to make their way into your world is suddenly here in and in your arms. This time is so amazing but yet goes by so quickly, if not captured right away, you may miss the tiny details that they grow from so soon. Being a Mother myself to four amazing kids and two perfect little grandsons, I know it’s these first few weeks that you never want to see end, yet they do and they go so fast. All of a sudden they have grown out of their little outfits and that newborn phase has disappeared.


Creating beautifully styled portraiture of your newborn is something I have grown to fall in love with even more with every session. Photographing the newborn stage for parents is something that has fascinated me greatly and given me such joy to do. There really is nothing like having this beautiful moment in time frozen and on your wall to cherish forever.


My newborn sessions consist of a variation of wrapped & prop poses of your baby alone, sibling photographs if your baby has older bothers or sisters, Motherhood images, which focus on the connection between Mamma and the baby, Dad & baby & lastly family images of you all together. Dresses & baby outfits will be provided to create those timeless portraits. The Classic Collection is a smaller version of the other sessions and consist of baby only where he or she is the focus.

When to Book


When should I book my newborn session?


Newborn sessions are best reserved during your second trimester to guarantee availability. Your baby's session will be photographed within the first 5-14 days after birth, when they are sleepiest and naturally curl into those sweet newborn poses. Once your little one arrives, we'll simply confirm your session date and make changes if needed.

Your Experience


A Relaxing Experience Designed for New Parents

Bring a newborn anywhere can feel overwhelming, which is why every detail of your session has thoughtfully planned. My private Akron studio is fully prepared with wraps, blankets, handcrafted props, baby outfits, and beautiful dresses for moms. While your little one is gently soothed and safely posed, you're encouraged to relax and simply enjoy these first precious moments.

FAQ

What if my baby won't sleep?

A. Most importantly I make sure baby's needs are met, I allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and cuddles whenever your baby needs them. If baby still prefers to stay awake and we can still create beautiful wrapped portraits and capture those precious wide-eyed expressions that we end up loving just as much.

Can siblings come?

A. Absolutely! Siblings and family portraits are included with my largest collection with mom and dad, allowing you to beautifully document this special chapter together. After we've finished those portraits, many families choose to have one parent or another family member take siblings home so the remainder of the session can be cam and focused on your newborn. This is completely option, and we'll create a plan that works best for your family.

What if my baby arrives early or late?

A. No worries at all! When you reserve your newborn session, your due date is held on my calendar rather than a specific session date. Once your baby arrives, simply let me know as soon as you're able, and we'll get them in within those precious 5-14 days when possible. I always do my best to accommodate early or late arrivals so you don't have to worry about timing.

I have successfully completed a certified newborn safety training program, ensuring your baby is always handled with the utmost care. Your little one’s comfort, safety, and well-being are always my top priority during every session. You can feel confident knowing your baby is in gentle, trained hands.

Every pose is done at your baby's pace. Your little one's comfort and safety always come first, and my sessions allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and cuddles whenever needed.
